The DC Universe is shaken to its core, with one here -- Superman -- pushed to his limit as Earth becomes embroiled in a galactic war against a seemingly unstoppable enemy. Imperiex, a being who commits cosmic genocide, is the first to strike while forging alliances in the war. Countries once fighting over personal ideals are forced to lay their grievances aside and pick up arms against the might new threat. Imperiex probes are sent to Earth devastating the landscape and even wiping Topeka, Kansas off the map. The JLA falls in the line of duty forcing teams such as the JSA and Young Justice to find other means to defeat their enemy. Yet, who exactly is Imperiex allied with? And what price will the universe pay if the heroes do manage to win?
