The Unofficial WAR OF THE GODS Biography
When the siren Circe sets in motion a calumnious clash of titans, her
simple plan is to rend Earth asunder-but she may soon find that she has seriously underestimated the extent to which the War of the Gods will shatter reality! For the moment, Circe's goal is the destruction of the Earth goddess Gaea, whose holdover our planet will be weakened when the Roman gods are locked against their Greek counterparts in immortal combat! Realizing that her archenemy Wonder Woman will Stand in her way, Circe tricks an unholy coven of sorcerers into charging an arcane assemblage of a artifacts with
mystical might, and arranges for Wonder Woman's abduction! In the blink of an eye, the Amazing Amazon is called to New Olympus, where she must defend her Greek patrons from the Roman gods' super-soldier-Captain Marvel!
Kra-koom! Circe's mystic relics explode, spraying the planet with scarlet streams of cosmic energy that summon to Earth the deities of many different worlds. Soon, Earth becomes the battleground of the gods, as each pantheon tries to recreate our world according to its own myth of creation! While the super-heroes give their all to keep the gods at bay and save innocent lives, an army of super-villains under the command of Black Adam storms Circe's sanctuary-but she escapes! Fleeing to Paradise Island, home of the Amazons, Circe at last faces Wonder Woman directly and weaves one last, satanic spell! As the super-heroes look on in horror, the Amazing Amazon devolves back into the clay from which she was spawned! Wonder Woman is dead!
Vengeful eyes ablaze, the world's defenders set out to avenge the murder of Earth's greatest super-heroine--but can they act in time to save the space-time continuum from total destruction? Not without Wonder Woman, who is magically reborn at the hands of the Greek gods and must set matters aright before time runs out! As Earth trembles from the strain of battle, Captain Marvel is released from the Romans' control and joins forces with the Amazon Princess to free the world from the last of its would-be gods! Soon, the wounds of the Earth-goddess Gaea begin to heal and the super-heroes breathe a great Sigh of relief--for the War of the Gods is finally over!
