The Unofficial GENESIS Biography

Beyond the realms of man, there exists The Source --- a mysterious power born when the universe was created.

Millennia ago, a wave of power emanated from the Source and expanded across the universe. Wherever the wave passed, it left in its wake the seeds for super powered beings ranging from the New Gods to Green Lantern, from the Gods of Olympus to Starman. But the wave has crested and is contracting across the cosmos.

This time, the wave's passage is undoing what it once wrought, and some of the most powerful heroes of the DC Universe find their abilities stripped away --- or altered in unexpected ways --- in GENESIS.

Thwarting the heroes' efforts to master their altered powers is the villainous Darkseid, who stands poised to take control of the energies as they return to The Source, and sends armies of his minions to keep Earth's defenders occupied. Drastically outnumbered by their foes, and with powers that are, at best, unreliable, how can the heroes triumph?

With repercussions felt by virtually every character in the DCU, the effects of GENESIS will be evident long after the series' end, as some characters find their powers remain altered and others --- including one of the DCU's greatest heroes --- meet their deaths.
