The Unofficial CRISIS II: THE SECRET CRISIS Biography

The comic world meets the real world as Buddy Baker, Animal Man, is caught in the middle of the secret crisis which holds the secrets which unravel and rewrite all that is known to the DC Universe. Characters are created and uncreated as paradox, upon paradox builds until Buddy breaks the barriers of the comic book page to learn who pulls his strings. This revelation costs him the lives of his family.

In desperate mourning, Buddy dresses in a black leather version of his costume and brutally slays the killer. In a last ditch effort he seeks out Rip Hunter who loans him a beat up time pac which he uses to travel to the past in hopes of stopping his families deaths. But somehow thing go wrong...

Buddy is unable to warn his family because the Time Pac will not let him materialize. Buddy then is wiped to a meeting between the Immortal Man and Jason Blood where the full effects of the secret crisis are beginning to be known. Psycho Pirate has been, literally, bleeding out comic books, forgotten relicts, and full characters from worlds destroyed by the merging of the Multiverse in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

But "the dead are gone," and will only be here until the creator of the events has had its' will fully reached. "Total chaos" breaks loose and isn't averted until Psycho-Pirate vanishes from continuity with all the forgotten things form worlds long dead. But, what is left is the Medusa mask which James Highwater takes to become the new Psycho-Pirate.

But the chaos doesn't end there for Buddy as he is summoned for his last adventure. He journey's through comic book limbo and then the real world until the hidden truth behind his actions and the reasons for his existence are reveald.
